This is a picture of Asha. It is a picture of a woman you don’t particularly know but it is also a picture of a woman you do know. Asha wants to be heard. But she suffers in silence. She hopes to matter but she is invisible to people around her. She wants to see the world but has never stepped out anywhere alone. She wants to observe people but fails to observe her own sufferings. But one day, she will raise her voice. She will raise her voice against the patriarchal society that has suppressed her feelings, her desires, her freedom. She will raise her voice so that her daughter will not suffer the same fate as she has. This is a picture of Asha. It is a picture of a strong woman.
