Finally after months of waiting, last month I got my hands on my favourite gadget I have ever owned—an iPad Air 4. So naturally, my last few weeks have been ‘utilised’ exploring the super cool app called Procreate. This app has helped me in creating some great digital illustrations, and I had a lot of fun making them. I am so fascinated by what technology can accomplish. I’ve been creating similar illustrations on paper, but it’s so much easier to do it digitally. My personal favourite feature is the ‘undo’ command. I used to spend hours on paper correcting my mistakes, but now everything is just a click away. Digital painting is not a replacement of traditional painting, however it is a tool that can aid the traditional process. Instead of deciding colours on canvas directly, I can make a digital draft first and experiment much more.

Here are some illustrations featuring people, with the reference image added to the upper right corner of each artwork.

Happy Creating.
