After the difficult year(s) of COVID, I decided it was the right time for me to take a break and begin my long pending adventure of backpacking solo across Himachal Pradesh. Having visited this place few years ago, it always had a special place in my heart and one of the reasons why I chose to explore it. On my last day in Shimla, while exploring the beautiful European like streets, I discovered an ongoing art festival and immediately decided to alter all my plans and participate in the festival.
As expected, the festival turned out to be of a great learning experience for me, where I got to connect with many like minded people and Indian artists who were much more experienced but so humble, friendly, and helpful towards me. It felt like I was home. The experience was something I will never forget.
As everyone knows my love for mountains and as I was in Himachal, it just felt apt to paint a landscape for the festival. Having met the governor of Himachal Pradesh and getting an opportunity to communicate and explain my art was something very special to me.
