When I first tried gouache, I didn't really like it. Today, I'm loving this medium. Gouache is opaque watercolour which can give beautiful bold results.
An attempt at painting wrinkles and grey hair.
I intended to create light effects but it did not turn out the way I thought it would and I actually like this one.
I wanted to create a strong contrast for this one. Red and green are constrasting colours which go well together. I did manage to create a better light effect here.
I have actively avoided hands in my paintings because I don't know how to make them. Well, learning happens only with practice, here's my first attempt at hands. The right one is out of shape but the left one looks much better.
Materials used: Gouache paints and rough handmade 300 gsm black paper.
