If you have looked up knife paintings, you have definitely come across Leonid Afremov’s work. I recreated his painting called “Magical Ballet” and believe me, it was not as easy as it appeared. Unlike the original, which was done in oils, I created this one in acrylics.

Recreation of “Magical Ballet” in Acrylics

Knife paintings are fun because of the texture that is created.

A macro shot of the textures

Materials used: Camlin acrylic tubes, 6"x 8" canvas board, palette knife, regular paintbrush.

Happy Creating.
